History Department

History Cherishes the memories of the human post. It enhances his wisdom and knowledge. In this way history guides human being to achieve perfection. With this aim department of History was established in 1955. It has the honour of being one of the founding departments of the college. Dr. R.C. Jain, the first head of the department led the college in the initial period. 

Department of History offers UG and PG programmes in History. It has excellent facilities for research. Till now more than twenty-five doctorate degrees have been awarded under the guidance of different faculty members. Department ushered in the new era under the capable guidance of Dr. D.D. Trivadi, Dr. K.K. Sharma and Dr. Ramesh Dutt and is continuously on path of progress. 

The department of History was established in 1955. The courses offered in the department are B.A., M.A. & Ph.D.  The department is keenly involved in academic activities in college.
