Physics Department

Welcome to the Department of Physics  at . J. V. Jain College Saharanpur attained its present status of an independent Department in 1961 for UG and 1964 for  PG .Today the Department runs its own UG and PG Programs in Physics. Sh. M. K. Jain was founder Head of Physics  Department . This Department  is unique in nature for its PG Programs and interdisciplinary research fields. The objective of the Department  is to achieve synergy among the teaching and research Mathematical  Physics, Material Science, Nanotechnology, Bio-physics . We have faculty with interest ranging from Expt. and theoretical aspects in material sciences . Success rate of physics students upto 90 percent. Department abilities and abstract thinking in its students by integrating physics in all its programmes  like as :

·         B.Sc. (PCM & PMG) -3 year course

·         M.Sc. (Physics)-2 year course

·         Ph.D.  in Physics

The Department also offers facilities for research work leading to Ph. D. degree in different branches Applied Physics, Applied maths and other many applied area of structural sciences . Department had collaborated with different National and International organization expertise in various fields of Physics. Our Department faculty also joins different industrial Research and Consultancy terms to mutually higher science contents . The Department of physics also has expertise in various fields of science and technology and several subjects of this fields have been and are being taught by the department faculty specially in Power and Digital Electronics , Optics, Mechanics, Nuclear physics, Nanotechnology, VLSI, Quantum physics  etc.
